Nilfisk’s SC500 vacuum scrubber won the German Design Award in the “Excellent Product Design – Retail” category. The jury gave the machine top marks as “a high quality product developed for professional use whose functionality and ergonomics are also reflected in the modern, pure and dynamic design.”
The German Design Award is the premier international recognition by the Council for Design. Its objective: to discover, present and acknowledge unique design trends. Every year, prizes are awarded to top-notch submissions in the areas of product and communications design, all of which ground-breaking in their own way in the international design landscape. In each category the 15 best creations are pronounced winners. This year, the Nilfisk SC500 made the cut: an HACCP-compliant scrubber with a working width of 53 centimeters and theoretical area coverage of 2,650 square meters per hour.
