Four products from Kärcher were awarded the 2017 iF Design Award, one of the world’s most respected design prizes. This year, the number of applications exceeded 5,500. Products and projects from 59 countries participated.
The following Kärcher products were distinguished:
- HDS Trailer: A series of mobile hot-water high-pressure cleaners on a one-axle trailer that are independent of the electricity grid or water supply.
- ‘Easy!Force’ Advanced: A pistol for high-pressure industrial cleaners; the pistol trigger in the handle is squeezed by the ball of the hand. The rebound effect of this reduces the force needed to hold it to zero.
- Full Control: High-pressure cleaning series with an LED display on the pistol handle that provides immediate information on the selected pressure level.
- Spray pistols: An entire assortment for garden-watering, some with handles that allow operation with either the finger or pressure with the ball of the hand.
For over 60 years, the iF Design Award has been a globally recognized competition and symbol for outstanding designs.
A jury of experts annually awards the seal of approval under consideration of workmanship, functionality, ergonomics and environmental excellence.
