In a capital increase, Strabag Property and Facility Services (Strabag PFS; turnover of over 1.1 billion euros) has acquired a 75 percent share in Egger PowAir Cleaning in Salzburg. Further details of the exact investment volume were not disclosed. The company, which has been awarded a number of innovation and business prizes, was founded in 2014 and has 15 employees. In 2016, it earned a turnover of 1.2 million euros.
Egger PowAir Cleaning specializes in cleaning machines and industrial plants with the most environmentally-friendly technology possible. Compressed air (PowAir) is its primary cleaning agent. By adding various non-toxic blasting materials such as glass, Egger PowAir Cleaning can carry out 90 percent of all technical cleaning needing in manufacturing industries – without water or chemical additives. In addition to the DIN ISO 26.000 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) certified cleaning process, the company’s USP is its cleaning team’s flexibility – in terms of time, location and the appropriate technology, according to Strabag PFS.
“With this participation, we are adding a key competence to our service portfolio for industrial firms. In addition to sales to many existing customers, this will give us access to previously untapped industries and sectors,” says Stefan Babsch, Director of Operations at Strabag PFS International and Chair of the Strabag PFS Austria Management.
Counting synergies with existing customers in Austria and Germany alone, Strabag PFS expects a jump in sales to four million euros over the next two years.
In the future, Gabriele Gailhart, Managing Director of Strabag PFS Austria will join the Egger PowAir Cleaning Management, acting alongside the company’s founder, Robert Egger (31).
