ŽŽThe care of cleaning textiles, in particular of mops, places special demands on washing machines and dryers. In principle, machines with diff erent capacities must be available so that they can cope with the varying quantities of textile material used in a property. Any dirt and lint particles generated during washing must not be allowed to block up the pumps, sieves and drains or adversely aff ect the heating elements. Furthermore, for many cleaning companies and laundries free programming is important, in order to individually adjust the washing process. Short lead times, economical consumption and the effi cient use of resources are also important prerequisites. In addition, the processing of the textiles contaminated with micro-organisms requires the exact compliance of the washing machine programs with respect to time, temperature and detergent as well as the documentation of the disinfection process. Having a connection for a dosing system via which RKI-listed detergents and disinfectants are fed directly into the machine is also important. The detergents – liquid detergents are needed to ensure problem-free dosage – play a decisive role when it comes to the cleaning result. Where required, they must comply with the requirements of the RKI (Robert Koch Institute) and eliminate numerous oily and liquid contaminants from the cleaning textiles without leaving behind any residues. Machine and detergent manufacturers use different concepts to meet the numerous requirements. The hygiene requirements stipulated in hospitals and nursing homes have to be adhered to by separating the textiles into clean and unclean laundry. Manufacturers of the appropriate cleaning machines and cleaning agents will explain at the CMS 2017 how the interaction between machines and detergents works in a professional context.
